New rumours have come up suggesting that HTC will be launching a new flagship. This new flagship with the codename HTC Hima, may be the new successor of the HTC One M8 instead of the One M9 as suggested before. For the last few months rumours about the possibility of the next HTC flagship name being changed seems to be more genuine.
The HTC Hima apparently be running 64-bit octa-core 810 Snapdragon processor, with 3GB of memory ram. Will have a 2840mAh battery to power up a 5 inches FHD screen display, and a LTE Cat 6 network connectivity.
On the cameras is described to have a considerable 20.7 Mega-Pixels rear camera, and the front facing camera seems to be the same as the HTC Desire Eye which comes with 13 Mega-Pixels. On the software the HTC Hima is expected to bring the last version of the Android 5.0 Lollipop, and the new HTC Sense 7.
This device seems to be the more realist successor for the M8, as the M9 rumoured specs suggested a 5.5inches QHD display screen and a massive 3500 mAh battery, it sounds more like a Max version, unless HTC will be deciding on bringing two Flagships in the same year.
The HTC Hima is expected to be launched at the Mobile World Conference (WMC) in Barcelona running from 2 to 5 of March 2015. The device is expected to be in all major carrier in the US, no information about UK and no details about prices yet as this is only rumours.
